Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust was established in the year 1945 with the major objective of helping needy women and children of rural India and taking care of their health, education, housing, self support and self sufficiency. The Trust from its very inception has paid special attention to the rural people residing at the national borders. The sevikas sister from the very beginning have been establishing themselves in the border areas and have been helping the Trust with enthusiasm and courage to maintain peace, health and education, specially for women and children. The Trust is currently working with the help of its 22 state branches, scattered all over the country.
